Nicola Phillips - Yoga TeacherOne of our teacher, Nicola, is a qualified yoga teacher and has recently incorporated pilates into her routing and we at Ishta are proud to present her Yogalates classes.

This fusion of Pilates and Yoga, Yogalates, is a creative way to explore and enjoy the core strength and alignment benefits of Pilates with the energy balancing and therapeutic effects of Yoga.

Pilates focuses on developing core strength, toning and aligning the entire body. It can also protect the body from future injuries, and works to enhance and maximise the potential of the physical body in a way that is safe and sustainable.

Yoga incorporates the deeper aspects of harmony and balance between body, mind and spirit in a way that is deeply healing and transformative on all levels. The combination of the two is therefore highly complementary and beneficial – try the Yogalates class at the Ishta centre and experience the transformation for yourself!

Yogalates classes are on every Wednesday morning at 9am to 10:15am and to promote these classes, we’re offering everyone who’s interested a free class to try Yogalates out.

Our regular Pilates class is also on a Wednesday, 5:15 to 6pm, with Monique. Please check out http://www.yoga-sa.com/time.htm

I’ve been doing Kundalini Yoga for about 2 years at the Ishta Yoga Studio. I do Pritam’s Sunday morning classes. I used to do the Monday night classes too, but these days its not so convenient for me. Soon though :)

Since I also work at the Centre, doing email marketing, working on the web site and advertising on Google, I wanted to create a video promoting the centre and Pritam’s classes. So with a lot of help of my friends, some of whom have also become Kundalini Yoga addicts, this is what I came up with.
