Paschimottanasana The forward bends calm and still the mind. They balance the base Chakra Muladhara that connects us with the earth.

Paschimottanasana will massage the internal organs releasing excess mucus and toxins.

Always remember not to overstretch, and bend the knees if there is any discomfort at all.  Breath naturally and hold the asana for about two minutes or so. Release the asana nice and slowly, and come to lie down on the back hugging the knees and counteracting this strong forward stretch.
